Email signatures for schools, colleges and universities

Education email signatures with deadlines that end on time.

Open days, application deadlines and term dates have hard edges. A banner that appears when they open and disappears when they close, under a signature parents and students recognise.

What it is for

An animated signature, at work on every email.

For a school, that is a named person on every admissions email, with the next open day under it.

  • A face they remember.

Your photo moves in the design's own motion, then rests. A name in an inbox becomes somebody they have met.

  • Seen on every email you already send.

No campaign to plan and nothing extra to send. It travels under the mail you write anyway.

  • One banner, changed everywhere.

Schedule a campaign and the banner under your signature changes by date. Once your signature carries the slot, emails you have already sent show the new one the next time they are opened.

  • Clicks counted. Opens never.

See which links people follow, as totals. There is no tracking pixel in any signature, so nothing records who opened an email.

  • Finished in every inbox.

Where a mail client will not animate, it shows the first frame, and every design makes the first frame the finished picture.

  • Fits the narrowest phone.

Every design is 320 pixels wide, so a message never shrinks to make room for the signature under it.

The short answer

What should a school's email signature include?

The staff member's name and role, the school's name, crest and website, a phone number for the office, and the next date that matters to the reader, such as an open day or an application deadline, as a banner with a link.

01

Dates with hard edges.

An open day banner that is still up the week after is worse than none. Campaigns take a start and an end date, chosen as calendar days, and the banner leaves every email at midnight after the last day.

02

One school, one look.

Choose one design in the school's colours and ask staff to use it. Admissions, the head's office and the sixth form then all look like the same school.

Each person makes their own signature for now. Shared team signatures, managed centrally, are not in the product yet, so a consistent look comes from everyone choosing the same design and colours.

03

Counted clicks, not watched parents.

You can see how many people clicked Book a place, by day. Nothing records when a parent opens an email: there is no pixel.

Questions

What schools ask

Can the banner change without me reinstalling the signature?

Yes, with campaigns switched on. Your signature carries one banner slot that is filled when the email is opened, so a campaign you schedule appears under every email that shows it, including ones sent before it started (a mail app that has already shown an email may keep its copy). Campaigns have start and end dates and 3 priority levels.

Does it track when people open my emails?

No. There is no tracking pixel in any signature. Clicks on your signature's own links are counted, and that can be switched off on your dashboard.

Can teachers use it too?

Yes. Any member of staff can make their own signature. Teachers often prefer a quieter design with no banner.

How much does it cost?

Your first month is free, with no card needed. After that it is £2.99 a month or £29.99 a year in the UK, €2.99 or €29.99 where the euro is the currency, and US$2.99 or US$29.99 everywhere else, with tax included, and you can cancel at any time.
